SEO/Marketing Manager

Job Statement

As an SEO/Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement effective search engine optimization strategies to drive organic traffic and improve our online and brand presence. This includes managing on-page and off-page SEO activities for multiple brands, optimizing keywords and phrases, building links, analyzing web analytics data, and content creation/management for blogs and social media channels. The position salary starts at $70,000 per year.

Objectives of this role

  • Developing and executing comprehensive search engine optimization strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitoring and analyzing website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and optimize high-quality, keyword-rich content for improved organic visibility.
  • Executing link-building activities to ensure quality links from reputable sources.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, such as content, design, and product, to ensure optimal content performance.
  • Collaborating with teams to integrate SEO with other digital marketing initiatives for cohesive campaigns.
  • Using automation tools and AI, create and manage social media and blog content pages for the different brand channels.

Your tasks

  • Conduct thorough keyword research and SEO analysis to identify relevant target keywords and phrases.
  • Develop and execute effective on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve website visibility and SERP rankings.
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and URLs to ensure alignment with target keywords and enhance search engine crawlability.
  • Identify technical SEO issues and implement solutions for improved website performance and user experience.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in search rankings.
  • Track and analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Keep informed of emerging SEO trends and technologies, exploring innovative approaches to enhance our SEO efforts further.
  • Develop, create, and implement brand content strategy and deploy it across various channels.

Required skills and qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an SEO manager or a similar SEO-focused role.
  • Extensive experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, and ChatGPT is required.
  • Relevant SEO certifications (such from Google, HubSpot, and/or Semrush).
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and digital marketing trends, with a strong understanding of the Indian search landscape.
  • Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, local SEO, and SEO reporting tools.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website optimization platforms, like WordPress.
  • Experience with SEO for local businesses and Google My Business optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Extensive understanding of website design, development, HTML/CSS coding, Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, SE algorithms, and link-building strategies.
  • Knowledge of technical SEO, including speed optimization for web and mobile.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing and its impact on SEO.
  • Experience with SEO testing and experimentation.
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple SEO/Marketing initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with Social Media and Blog content creation and systems such as the Meta tool kit and Loomly (social media content aggregate system).
